A well designed nursing station is like a nerve center, supporting a constant flow of traffic and activity. TMI offers the flexibility and functionality that healthcare facilities demand from their nursing stations. We combine architectural woodwork with appropriate casework to design and build nursing stations that are durable, can be easily cleaned, offer a pleasant appearance, and are cost efficient.

With the onset of focused-care centers, care-givers work from alcoves directly adjacent to patient rooms. Each alcove should contain drawers and shelves for supplies and medication, a telephone, a computer, a sink and other equipment necessary for the team to deliver efficient care for three to five patients.

As the role of nurses has evolved and expanded, it has become increasingly important for them to have a number of resources right at their fingertips. Nurses are now often called upon to serve in a consultative or patient liaison capacity.

Because patients and visitors may associate the aesthetics of nursing stations with the quality of care provided, the stations should be visually pleasing. We offer a wide array of colors, textures and design options to enable hospitals to create comfortable and inviting nursing station environments.

When designing nursing stations, space planning must be carefully considered. The space arrangement must be functional and efficient. It must serve the activities that occur within the nursing station, and allow practical traffic paths for the busy hospital staff to pass through.
