Community Involvement

We believe that practicing leadership is the best way to learn to lead. We encourage employees to participate and take lead roles in community endeavors like United Way, Habitat for Humanity, the area Chamber of Commerce, and many others. TMI leaders lead in many venues.

Toastmasters International

Speaking, articulating, presenting, listening, and understanding are so essential to personal development. These are the main fare of Toastmasters International. Our staff has honed those essential skills by participating in and serving in leadership roles in local, statewide and regional positions.

Management Seminars

For employees in new leadership roles, and those who identify their interest in advancement within the company, development plans are enacted with managers. These frequently involve attending professional seminars in subjects such as sales, customer service, managing and leading, staff training, human resources, performance management, conflict resolution, and many others.

Strategic Planning Meetings

Leaders are invited to informal strategic planning sessions, in which major issues and initiatives are evaluated and discussed. These discussions lead toward the development of the TMI Business Plan. A 'World Class Change Committee' also exists to allow managers to express their needs and views about the strategic direction of the company.
